Whos on your People Pyramid?

You guys are awesome.

Close to 400 of you have decided to join the Unconventional Entrepreneur journey.

Just the kind of people that I like to hang out with and have fun.

I want to have a great time, but I am also crazy ambitious, and I like to stack up success to build a strong foundation for my life.

Theres a saying that goes something like, You are the average of the 5 people you surround yourself with.

Something like that.

We are a reflection of the people we associate with, and those in our circles attract similar people. If you listen to naysayers or let vampires steal your time, thats a problem.

Who you surround yourself with will impact your success. I like to place everyone on a People Pyramid inside my head.

Here are the different levels:

At the base is a strong foundation of supporters, family, friends, and subscribers to Unconventional Entrepreneur.

The next level is your a dvisors, mentors, and coaches, who will help you succeed and achieve more than you can on your own.

The next level is for supportive industry peersin person or onlinethe people you love to work with.

These can be other business owners with whom you share problems and solutions, a business group on X or a podcast you listen to weekly.

These bottom 3 levels are all the people on your team. That foundation of success I mentioned earlier.

You want to add value to their lives and protect those relationships.

Next is a necessary but smaller level on the People Pyramid: Bankers, Attorneys, and Gov. Officials.

Necessary, but I like to limit my time with them. Nothing personal, but you get it, right?

At the top, the very smallest level that you want to limit (ideally eliminate) severely, are these folks:

Naysayers, Non-believers, Jealous types, and time Vampires.

I keep this image in my head when I meet new people.

The lower the level, the more time and effort I want to put into the relationship.
